This Policy explains how Manga Clinic handles personal information, manuscript files, payment-related information, and other data submitted through the service.

Depending on how you use the service, Manga Clinic may collect:
- Name, pen name, email address, country or region, and communication preferences.
- Project information, synopsis, goals, concerns, page count, and manuscript files.
- Content warnings and other information you choose to provide.
- Order and transaction information. Payment-card details are processed by Stripe and are not intended to be stored directly by Manga Clinic.
- Technical information generated by website, form, payment, email, or file-delivery providers.
2. How we use information
- To assess submissions and provide editorial review services.
- To communicate about acceptance, orders, delivery, refunds, and support.
- To process payments and maintain transaction records.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, infringement, or security incidents.
- To comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
- To improve the service using non-identifying or aggregated information where appropriate.
Marketing emails are sent only where you have separately opted in or where otherwise permitted by applicable law.
3. Manuscript confidentiality
Unpublished manuscripts and project materials are used only as necessary to assess your submission and provide the agreed service. Manga Clinic will not publicly display your manuscript, identify you as a client, or use your work as a case study without separate permission.
4. Generative AI
Manga Clinic will not upload your submitted manuscript to a generative-AI service without your explicit prior permission. Administrative tools may be used for scheduling, billing, email, storage, and delivery provided unpublished manuscript content is not intentionally submitted to generative AI without permission.

Manga Clinic may use third-party providers to operate the service:
These providers may process data in countries where they or their service infrastructure operate, subject to applicable law and their own privacy terms.
6. Sharing and disclosure
Manga Clinic does not sell your personal information. Information may be disclosed to service providers acting for operational purposes, when you direct or consent to disclosure, to protect rights or safety, in connection with a lawful business transfer, or where disclosure is required by law.
7. Retention
Manuscript and working files for completed reviews are ordinarily deleted within 90 days after delivery. Materials relating to declined or cancelled submissions are ordinarily deleted within 90 days after the decision. Transaction, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal records may be retained for longer where required or reasonably necessary.
8. Security
Manga Clinic takes reasonable organizational and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the information handled. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Your choices and requests
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or other handling of personal information. To make a privacy request, contact [email protected]. Manga Clinic may need to verify your identity before responding.
10. Children
The paid service is intended for persons aged 18 or older. Do not submit personal information or manuscripts for purchase if you are not legally able to enter into the transaction.
11. Changes to this Policy
This Policy may be updated when necessary. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date on this page.
